Small town girl Jodie Palmer aspires to a new life beyond Midland, Texas. Her boyfriend Kyle Richardson however, is content working at his factory job, and drinking with his friends. She becomes more determined than ever after her friend Caroline, now a successful country and western singer, comes home for a visit.
