Washing the windows is no concern when scrubbing bloody floors and covering up illicit affairs are part of your professional duties. Such filthy tasks are all in a day's work for Beverly Hills cleaning ladies Carmen, Marisol, Valentina, Rosie and Zoila. It's enough to turn anyone a little...devious.
Inspired by the hit Mexican telenovela The Disorderly Maids of the Neighborhood, the new Lifetime sudser Devious Maids was adapted for American audiences by Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry and features the same wickedly over-the-top tone. "But there are subtle differences," Cherry explains. "Devious Maids deals with themes of racism, classism and immigration. These women all work in the homes of rich people, but they have goals and dreams that are much greater than the people they work for realize."
The drama begins with the death of a mischievous maid named Flora...
Murphy in '13?
Tuesday's conclusion of Body of Proof's two-part Season 3 premiere cemented a plotline that had been hinted at last week: that Chief Medical Examiner Kate Murphy (Jeri Ryan) is running for office, and her colleagues in the medical examiner's office — especially Dr. Megan Hunt (Dana Delany) — are less than thrilled about it.
Body of Proof creator and executive producer Matthew Gross has made it no secret that his ABC drama has undergone quite a makeover during its 10-month hiatus. But should existing fans be worried that they'll be watching a completely new series when Season 3 premieres (Tuesday at 10/9c, ABC)?
Yes and no.

James Denton is proving there's life after death on Wisteria Lane. Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry has invited James, along with a handful of other actors who took their deaths gracefully (ahem), to appear in the May 13 series ender.
"I'm pretty stoked," says the former Mike Delfino. "A lot of great actors will be on that street — Steven Culp [Rex], Roger Bart [George], Richard Burgi [Karl], among others. If you gotta be dead, that's pretty good company." Add Lupe Ontiveros (Mama Solis) to the list, plus at least one more victim who will die in the finale, Marc says.

Well, I for one can't recall ever seeing this on a television sitcom before. And I imagine it's a safe bet that this "ground-breaking" episode will not win any sensitivity awards.
TV Land's Hot in Cleveland has cast former Desperate Housewives actor Richard Burgi, who played Susan's ex-husband Karl, as one half of conjoined twin brothers, Timothy and Richard. Burgi will play Timothy, who is set up on a date with Victoria (Wendie Malick). Victoria is, of course, unaware that her date is bringing along a little extra baggage.
How do you feel about Hot in Cleveland's most outlandish plot yet? And who would you like to see attached to Richard Burgi?
