TNT has decided not to move forward with a second season of The Great Escape, TV Guide Magazine has learned. The series was TNT's first foray into reality competition, and kicked off a commitment by the cable network to get into unscripted programming in a big way.

The Great Escape, which comes from the producers of CBS hit The Amazing Race, follows teams as they compete in challenges similar to scenes from action/adventure movies. Rich Eisen hosts the show, which premieres Sunday, June 24 at 10/9c, after a new episode of Falling Skies.
NBC is reviving the early-'90s competition series American Gladiators, at the same time updating it with 21st-century tech and twists, reports Variety. At least six episodes are on order, eyed for a midseason launch.... MyNetworkTV on Sept. 8 will premiere NFL Network: Total Access, a Saturday-night preview show hosted by Rich Eisen, onetime NFL MVP Marshall Faulk and 11-time Pro Bowler Rod Woodson.... Starting Sept. 19, Spike TV will deliver MANswers, which aims to ask the big questions on many a fella's mind. Example: "How long can you survive in space without a space suit?" Cool nonsense like that.
