On the 12th day of December, with only 12 days (gulp) until Christmas Eve, here's a dozen topics of interest — or possibly disinterest — regarding today's unusually busy, for mid-December, TV lineup.
Mother's Day: On CBS's biggest Monday hit, Two and a Half Men (9/8c), Mimi Rogers drops by the Malibu manse as Walden's mom. Alan, naturally, is smitten (ewwww), but in the opposite-of-nurturing tradition of mothers ...

Taylor Wily
Relative newcomer Taylor Wily has become a familiar face on Hawaii Five-0, even if that face has been superimposed on the body of a shrimp.
The former sumo wrestler and Hawaii native plays Kamekona, an island local who sometimes acts as an informant for Five-0 when he's not pursuing his own entrepreneurial endeavors. His latest venture is running a shrimp truck, which is adorned with graphics of disconcerting Kamekona-shrimp hybrids. Using his own image has been one of Kamekona's marketing ploys since the beginning of the series when he printed his face on t-shirts to advertise his shave ice business.

Daniel Dae Kim, Reiko Aylesworth
Hawaii Five-0 almost had the perfect scenario for a romantic date: a seaside locale, a shared meal, an intimate vibe ... oh, and about two dozen tourists trying to take pictures of the interlude.
On a balmy August day at the Duke Kahanamoku lagoon at Waikiki's Hilton Hawaiian Village, Daniel Dae Kim and Reiko Aylesworth were filming a date between Chin Ho Kelly and ex-fiancee Malia for Monday's episode, "Ma'em'e" (10/9c, CBS). TVGuide.com was on the set to check out Kamekona's shrimp truck and find out what's going on with cousins Chin Ho and Kono (Grace Park).
Hawaii Five-0: Could the team lose Kono?
Last season, Chin Ho kept busy working with Five-0 and clearing his own name of scandal before rejoining the HPD. He has more than just work on his mind now, though. "You're witnessing one...

Got any dirt on Kalinda's love life this season on The Good Wife? — Eliza
ADAM: Executive producer Robert King tells us that Kalinda will be playing the field a lot this season, but her thoughts will often return to one person in particular. "A lot of Kalinda's [story] is her unresolved feelings [for] Cary," King says. "How close can they be? ... There's something about Cary that is always very important to her, but it's unclear as to whether that's as a brother or a lover."
How will Owen balance being the new Chief and his problems with Cristina on Grey's Anatomy? — Tara
NATALIE: Since Derek and Meredith are also on the outs, Owen will turn to Derek in his time of need. "Derek and Owen are dealing with the twisted sisters — Meredith and Cristina — who are very connected and very similar in a way," Kevin McKidd tells us. "So, they try to...

Daniel Dae Kim
Hawaii Five-0's Daniel Dae Kim live-tweeted Monday's Chin-centric episode, wrapping up CBS Tweet Week on a fun note.
Monday's episode dug deep into Chin and Kono's past, revealing the real reason why Chin Ho was kicked off the Hawaii police force years before. Although he took the heat — and lost his badge — for stealing money from the HPD asset forfeiture vault. Chin finally confessed to...

Hawaii 5-0
There's no football in Hawaii Five-0's special Sunday post-AFC Championship Game episode, but it does start out with extreme surfing. Well, more like some extremely uncomfortable surfing as Kono (Grace Park) gives Danno (Scott Caan) board lessons so he can impress his daughter. "It's fun because Danny's obviously averse to water," says executive producer Peter Lenkov. The waves get a whole lot bigger as a major tsunami warning sends islanders evacuating to higher ground, while our team stays in town to investigate the disappearance of the head of the Tsunami Warning Center.

24's Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) and less-than-plausible story lines have always had an uneasy alliance. Every really bad day of Bauer's packs so many plot devices into 24 hours it's hard to always keep things fresh. Here are a few of the most ridiculous plotlines the writers of the Fox series conjured up over eight seasons:
24 Boss: There will be no "happily ever after" for Jack Bauer
Teri Bauer Gets Amnesia (Day 1)
After being kidnapped and...

I only have one question about the NCIS finale: Is Cote de Pablo returning to the show next season? — B.C.
MATT: Why, did it look like Ziva was on death's doorstep in that secretly filmed torture scene? If so, think back to what NCIS boss Shane Brennan said about that grim cliff-hanger: Come September, "all will be revealed and you will be surprised. It will come at you from left field." (But, in a word: Yes. Sources whisper to me that Cote will be back.) Bonus buzzlet: Season 6 arrives on DVD Aug. 25!
Please tell us the rumors aren't true, and that Desperate Housewives isn't going with a melodramatic miscarriage storyline for Lynette. — Steph
MICKEY: Egads, this is morbid, Steph, but let's retrace our steps: Marc Cherry has said that he thinks a mother losing a child would be ...

Reiko Aylesworth, Louise Lombard and Julia Ormond
New shows that looked good enough for a fall pick-up are fine-tuning their casts before going into production.
For starters, CSI alum Louise Lombard will not be making the trek to NCIS: Los Angeles, despite having appeared in the two NCIS episodes that served as a backdoor pilot. The spin-off instead will recast its female lead.
Similarly, says the Hollywood Reporter, CBS' Three Rivers is on the hunt for ...
