Rebecca Budig
Fresh off her second stint as All My Children's "real Greenlee," Rebecca Budig has grabbed a guest-starring gig on CBS' How I Met Your Mother.
In one of this season's final episodes, Budig will play Holly, a new girlfriend of Ted's, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
The casting of Budig is perhaps 17 percent extra-interesting to longtime AMC viewers who know that Abigail Spencer (who played Pine Valley's virginal Becca Tyree) also has "dated" Ted. Spencer played "Blah Blah," a Season 3 girlfriend whose name Ted could never remember.
The same two actresses sharing a Josh (Radnor vs. Duhamel)... . I could go on for days with the coinky-dinks. But of greater/actual concern to the HIMYM fan is the fact that ...

Debbi Morgan by Steve Fenn/ABC
Over the past couple of months, many daytime greats have returned to the suds some in old roles, some in new ones. So how are these prodigal kids doing? Michael Logan shares his take.Debbi Morgan and Darnell Williams (All My Children) It's been worth a gazillion plot contrivances to see Angie back with her "dead" Jesse after 20 long years. Oh, how we've longed for her blazing soul and Earth Mother passion! How much we've missed his sass and cool and cut-to-the-chase honesty! And aren't they still incomprehensibly beautiful together? Watching these legends reunite in that terrific train-station scene made me realize how starved we soap fans are for true, epic love. Clearly, you can go home again.RATING: 5 out of 5 starsTamara Braun (Days of our Lives) She was the best and most electrifying of the four gals who have played Carly on General Hospital save your irate letters, you can't change my mind! Now she's opened up a big can o' whoop-ass on Salem as Ava, a bodacious b...

Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Alicia Minshew and Rebecca Budig by Steve Fenn/ABC
What does Maksim Chmerkovskiy know about pole dancing? Nothing. But that didn't stop All My Children from hiring him as an expert. The Dancing with the Stars stud will play himself on the Feb. 26 episode, where he'll teach the erotic art to several of Pine Valley's dishiest babes. "When I got to [AMC] they were shocked that I've never done pole-dancing before like, why would I? but I figured it out and tried to keep it clean," says Chmerkovskiy. He insists he has no interest in acting and has nixed most other non-dancing offers. "People have wanted to put me in a cowboy hat and make me the next Nashville Star," he says. "Trust me, that's not where my talent is. I'm like a peacock beautiful but you don't want to hear it sing."His impression of AMC? "It's really hard work but, to be honest, soaps are a bit cheesy," Chmerkovskiy says. "All the girls were telling me about their crazy storylines. One of them had been in a coma three times. Another one used to be a gho...

Mrs. Bachelor Bob is back in the Fusion business. Rebecca Budig will reclaim the role of All My Children's Greenlee starting January 16. (What do you think about it? Vote here.) Also, Daytime Emmy winners Debbi Morgan and Darnell Williams are returning as Angie and Jesse Hubbard on Jan. 18 and 25, respectively this despite the fact that Jesse famously died in his wife's arms a bazillion years ago and has since made several ethereal visits as a ghost. "We are giving the fans what theyve been asking for Rebecca returns as Greenlee and a beloved super-couple have a second chance," says ABC Daytime boss Brian Scott Frons. "Fans can look forward to Greenlees storyline developing around her business, her friendships and her love life. Angie and Jesse made an eternal imprint on... viewers, and many fans will not believe he's alive." Seriously his ghost even gave Pine Valley that "magic box" one Christmas! When Budig returns to the role she created, Greens is...

Scoop! Eden Riegel (Bianca) isn't the only All My Children star who thinks playing gay is A-OK. TVGuide.com has learned that Rebecca Budig (ex-Greenlee) will guest-star in an upcoming episode of CBS' Out of Practice as Carla, a lovely lesbian who gets fixed up with Regina (Paula Marshall). Although no air date has yet been scheduled, Budig's installment — entitled "Doctors Without Bidders" — will air sometime after Out of Practice comes back with fresh episodes in March.
