Rashida Jones by Carin Baer/FOX
Jeers to Unhitched for squandering the considerable charms of Rashida Jones. The Office alum deserves better than playing a suddenly single woman who spends way too much time hanging out with three male losers in the Farrelly brothers' crass Fox sitcom. And are we really supposed to believe the best the genetically blessed daughter of Quincy Jones and Peggy Lipton can do is date a succession of jerks and undesirables? Jones would be wise to divorce herself from Unhitched as quickly as possible. Read and react to Bruce's opinions on Idol's Amanda, Dancing with the Stars and more. Shes stunning, talented, was awesome as Karen on The Office and now she even has her own new show, Unhitched, premiering this Sunday night. But did you know that back in the day, Jones was one of the singers in those Gap ads? Now look closely
you can spot the actress as one of the singers set back a bit from the rest. Oh, remember when those bright orange vests were all the rage?
Rashida Jones, Unhitched
Office alum Rashida Jones sounds off on her famous parents, her edgy new Fox sitcom Unhitched (Sundays at 9:30 pm/ET) and being "the other woman."
TV Guide: Congrats! After years of dues-paying, you hit it big as The Office's Karen — aka She Who Dared Come Between Pam and Jim — and now
CBS is going global with two new pilots based on shows from overseas, plus one drama that's homegrown. Starz is also beefing up content, commissioning six new documentaries on topics from comic book movies to special effects. Anna DimondOh, and speaking of Rashida Jones....
Jennie Garth by Craig Sjodin/ABC
Thanks to Dancing with the Stars, Jennie Garth is leaner and meaner than ever, but that might not last for long. "I know me. I'll just go get pregnant again!" she tells People. "I actually secretly look forward to [it]".... According to Us, Rashida Jones was mum on her reportedly reignited Office romance with former flame John Krasinski. "I don't want to talk about my personal life," she told the press at a Wednesday event. But she then noted that John is "awesome" and "the best".... Jennifer Lopez at a Wednesday concert announced that husband "Marc [Anthony] and I are expecting" a full two months after we stopped caring.

As if the implications of the writers strike werent already giving us migraines, along comes Fox to make our heads explode with its latest incomprehensible schedule announcement, covering the strike-impacted midseason from January to April (consider most everything you read from here on subject to change). The first piece of bad news was expected: The seventh season of 24 is being postponed indefinitely, until Fox can ensure the entire season can run intact and uninterrupted. Who knows when that will be? Another blow: Fox is finally living up to its threat to move Bones to Fridays, effective Jan. 4, where it will be paired with repeats of House (the Fox equivalent of Law & Order, considering how often the hit medical drama will be peppered throughout the networks new and unimproved lineup). To try to help make sense of it all, lets look at the schedule night by night:Monday: With 24 out of the picture, the new big-ticket midseason item is now the action-pa...
Johnathon Schaech and Christina Applegate by Theo Wargo/WireImage.com
There must be something in the water. Not only is People reporting that former marrieds Christina Applegate (Samantha Who?) and Johnathon Schaech have been caught snogging anew, but the New York Daily News says onetime on- and off-screen Office sweethearts John Krasinski and Rashida Jones were spotted canoodling at last week's SNL after-party. Jim is dreading a reunion with Karen. John Krasinski by Ron Tom/NBC.
Episode Recap: Branch Wars (November 1, 2007)Jim has spent the past few weeks punch drunk happy over finally getting together with Pam. So it figures that karma is ready to pay him back by putting him through hell tonight. First he gets manipulated into taking the worst car ride Ive ever seen on The Office (and considering how many times Michael Scott has gone on a long journey while annoying the bejeezus out of his passengers, thats really saying something). And by the end of the half-hour hes face to face with his ex-girlfriend and you can almost hear him praying that he could just disappear. The last time Joss Whedon directed an episode of The Office it was, ironically, the one where Dwight fought a vampire bat. (Whedon swore that was just a coincidence and that the episode was written before he came in to direct). But in some ways this episode (written by Mindy Kaling, who also plays Kelly) is an even better fit for Whedons talents: hes a master at t...
Karen returns... to wreck havoc? Rashida Jones by Paul Drinkwater/NBC
We got a nice Halloween treat last night: Joss Whedon has a new television show in the works starring Eliza Dushku! (Read the full story here.) But you don't have to wait until The Dollhouse premieres to get your Whedon fix - he's directing (although sadly, not writing) tonight's installment of The Office, in which Karen returns to lure Stanley away to another branch of Dunder-Mifflin. Considering Whedon's past shows, could a Pam versus Karen fight be in the cards?Post your thoughts and check back after the show for my recap.
