When high school students Molly Ringwald and Randall Batinkoff fall for each other, they wind up taking a crash course in adulthood in this contemporary romantic comedy. Molly ("The Breakfast Club,""Sixteen Candles") stars as a fledgling journalism student who can't wait to see her name in print. Randall is hoping for a scholarship to Cal Tech. On top of the world and in love, their futures seem idyllic until one little thing throws them off track - a baby. This unexpected "change of events" doesn't sit too well with their moms and dads, who just aren't ready to be grandparents. So Molly and Randall split from their families, get married and begin a life on their own with their new "bundle of job." It doesn't take long before the honeymoon is over, diapers are in, and late dates are out. But in the end, sharing kisses beats doing dishes as Molly, Randall and their families discover that the best love of all is...FOR KEEPS. watch

A woman negotiates the tricky etiquette of celebrating the wedding of her former girlfriend in this independent comedy. April (Maria Cina) and Alex (Trish Doolan) are close friends who have something of a past together -- both are lesbians, and they were lovers for several years. Alex is still attracted to April, but April has moved on -- so much so that April one day announces that she's going to marry Pauly (Randall Batinkoff), a pleasant but dull man who was introduced to April by her mother (Molly Cheek). Understandably, Alex is a bit taken aback when April asks her to be her maid of honor, but for the sake of their friendship she accepts. However, things get a bit frazzled when Alex has to put together a bridal shower for the woman she still loves. April's Shower was the first feature film from writer and director Trish Doolan, who also plays Alex. - Mark Deming, All Movie Guide watch

Elizabeth Berkley's Black Widow Has Legs

Showgirls showstopper Elizabeth Berkley will spin a very tangled web in the Lifetime movie Black Widow, reports the Reporter. The flick concerns a journalist (Jericho's Alicia Coppola) who suspects that her bestest guy friend (Randall Batinkoff) has fallen for a woman who has married — and apparently murdered — her previous husbands, including a wealthy software tycoon. The rest involves a stool, a broom and a jelly jar with holes poked in the lid. read more
