On Friday, Regis Philbin leaves devoted Live! with Regis and Kelly viewers with 28 years' worth of memories... and a hole in their hearts. Mornings just won't be the same without Reege. Who could possibly fill the chair next to Kelly Ripa once the parade of temporary co-hosts (starting with Jerry Seinfeld) have eased the transition? Already really busy guys Jeff Probst, Neil Patrick Harris, Anderson Cooper and Ryan Seacrest couldn't possibly have time for the gig, could they? So who's it going to be? Let's take a look at eight possible contenders:
Lacey Schwimmer, Chaz Bono
Security was exceptionally tight in the ballroom for the season premiere of ABC's Dancing With the Stars. Beefy guards were seated in the audience and stood, ready to take action, both before and after transgender activist Chaz Bono took to the floor with his partner, Lacey Schwimmer. "I didn't pay attention to any of it," Bono said after the show. "I just wanted to do a good job dancing."

Question: I am thrilled! Laurence Fishburne is leaving CSI. I thought that the mothership of this franchise lost a lot when Grissom left, but bringing in Laurence Fishburne's character was the worst possible mistake ever.
Drew Lachey and Cheryl Burke
Now that the Disney Kid has beaten the Karate Kid, all bets are off. With Tuesday night's elimination of Ralph Macchio, it'll be Chelsea Kane, Kirstie Alley and Hines Ward in next week's Dancing With the Stars finale. But even show insiders are at a loss, trying to figure out who will ultimately sashay home with the prize.
"I gotta believe it's gonna be either Chelsea or Hines," says second season champ Drew Lachey, one of those rare birds who maintains the physical conditioning required to come back to this show and do what he did Tuesday night: Reunite with his pro partner, Cheryl Burke, and dance. "Chelsea and Hines are the strongest ...

Ralph Macchio limped off the Dancing With the Stars stage Monday night, hobbled by Baker's cyst, a painful build-up of joint fluid behind the knee, most often brought on by arthritis or overuse of the joint.
"I'm trying to do all the right things," says Macchio, wincing when he puts weight on that right leg. "One of them is to stay off of it for three to five days. I don't have three to five days"...
After tumbling during their paso doble, Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff staged an impressive comeback last week on Dancing with the Stars, nabbing their first 10 to top the leader board. "That felt so great!" Smirnoff tells TVGuide.com. "When I fell and Ralph was there for me 100 percent, that made us stronger as a couple. I knew I could rely on him 150 percent and he was there for me. That made us realize I'm only as strong as he is and he's only as strong as I am. It made us better together as a team and I think we're better than ever." The two hope to keep their momentum going this week with their "insanely cool" Viennese waltz and their cha-cha, which will be the Instant Dance. See what they have up their sleeves and why they want to get Len new scoring paddles.
Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge
This is delightful history." So declared TV's reigning queen of news, Barbara Walters, as the newly wed Catherine, now Duchess of Cambridge, emerged from Westminster Abbey alongside her prince Friday morning to pealing bells, cheering crowds and a gawking worldwide TV audience estimated in the billions, soaking up a jubilant moment in the often rocky life of the British royals. In shared media moments like this, we are all uncommonly privileged commoners, granted a front-row seat to rubberneck at will at a lavish ceremony, festooned with wacky hats, that seemingly went off without a hitch. Watching in high-def (a first for a British royal wedding), I was struck by both the intimacy and grandeur of what the cameras captured: best man Harry's sly look backward at Kate's long approach down the aisle while his brother faced forward — he apparently whispered, "Wait till you see her" — the sideways amused glances between Kate and William revealing that they were keeping it real amidst the pomp, the prince's struggle to place the ring on her finger, all set against sweeping long shots, including staggeringly beautiful aerials of the entire abbey, like something out of a classic movie romance....
