When radio anchor Peter Wiggins (Richard Denning) and his wife, Ellen (Frances Rafferty), decide to adopt their longtime foster daughter (Lora Lee Michel), a shadowy individual suddenly claims to be the girl's close relative and tries to thwart their plans.
