Rachel McAdams Fast Facts:

Began competing in figure skating at the age of 4 and while doing so, traveled to Stratford to attend local theater, which sparked her interest in acting.
Performed Shakespeare at the Original Kids Theatre in her home town at the age of 12.
First TV performance was as a girl with bulimia in a 2001 episode of The Famous Jett Jackson.
Breakout movie was 2002's Perfect Pie; was nominated for a Genie Award, Canada's equivalent of an Oscar.
Said she prepared for her role of Southern belle Allie Hamilton in The Notebook (2004) by taking lessons in tennis, ballet, swing dancing, piano and etiquette.
Arrived at a photo shoot for the March 2006 issue of Vanity Fair magazine, which was to feature her, Keira Knightley and Scarlett Johansson nude on the cover, but bowed out at the last minute.
