The Voice: 8 Things You Didn't See on TV

Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton

Kilts! Text-savvy contestants! Dirty talk approval! The Voice kicked off its first live show Tuesday on the Warner Bros. lot and TVGuide.com was on the set to catch all of the behind-the-scenes action when the cameras weren't rolling. Find out which judges get the most primping and how producers and the other judges really felt about Christina's candid comments below.

Getting ready for the live show. About an hour before the show, Beverly isn't quite ready to let her unusual ensemble do all the talking. "It's a kilt. No skirts here," she says on a smoke break outside the stage area. Elsewhere, Xenia, in a hairnet and curlers, asks sweetly — via a production rep — if she can cut the very long bathroom line before the live show.  She hums the whole time.

Adam Lambert and members of Queen

If you thought Adam Lambert looked like a natural fit with iconic rockers Queen during American Idol's finale, you weren't the only one.

Hours after it was announced that Lambert was Season 8's runner-up, widespread speculation began circulating that the 26-year-old singer had been offered a job as Queen's new front man. While that's not true yet, guitarist Brian May isn't ruling out the possibility.

"Amongst all that furor, there wasn't really a quiet moment to talk. But [drummer Roger Taylor] and I are definitely hoping to have a meaningful conversation with him at some point," May told Rolling Stone. "It's not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn't that easy. But I'd certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there."

Idol's Bucky: Simon Says... Nothing Helpful

Bucky Covington, American Idol

Despite some rockin' country (or is it countrified rock?) performances, North Carolinian Bucky Covington bottomed out last week on Fox's American Idol (Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 9 pm/ET) despite serving up a solid spin on Queen's "Fat Bottomed Girls." "I'd rather leave on a high note than a low note," Bucky shared the day after his swan song. "If I'm not going to win it, eighth is just as good as fourth to me, do you know what I mean?" One of the many ladies surely sad to see Bucky say goodbye is none other than Paula Abdul, who was often spied boogying and b read more
