Radio host Bill Press called Glenn Beck a "ticking time bomb" that will explode in Fox News chief Roger Ailes' face.Appearing on the "Reliable Sources" hour of CNN's "State of the Union with John King," Press told host Howard Kurtz that Beck's recent comment about Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA) is indicative of future comments to come.
"I have to tell you, look, I'm a talk show host, I am totally for talk show hosts almost getting away with almost anything they say, on the radio particularly," Press said. "But I'm amazed at how much FOX lets Glenn Beck get away with. I think he is a ticking time bomb, and one day he's going to explode in the face of Roger Ailes, and they're going to be sorry they gave him that television show."National Review editor Jim Geraghty agreed."It was a little bit crass, but nobody elected Glenn Beck to Congress -- yet," Geraghty said.Watch: watch
