Ellen isn't only one with a funny bone in the DeGeneres-de Rossi household. During her guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Portia de Rossi created a video spoof to apologize to all the people who have suffered as a result of her marriage to Ellen DeGeneres. The actress admits she was selfish in wanting to live happily ever after with the one she loved; she never considered the horrors to which it would subject numerous people — those who got paper cuts from their protest signs, for example.

The vote to ban gay marriage in California disappointed Star Trek alum George Takei and many other who seized the chance to tie the knot earlier this year when the state's highest court ruled such nuptials were legal.
Takei — who made Brad Altman his husband in September —was quick to weigh in on unofficial results that showed voters on Tuesday approved the constitutional ban known as Proposition 8.
"It was astounding to think that the hard-won equality that made my recent marriage to Brad Altman [possible] would no longer be possible for others," Takei told UsMagazine.com.

According to a statement from the couple's spokesperson, the "intimate" ceremony was held at the couple's Los Angeles home and was attended by 19 guests, including DeGeneres' and de Rossi's mothers. The couple, who have been dating since December 2004, exchanged handwritten vows and rings by Neil Lane.
