Julianne Hough has joined the film adaption of the Broadway musical Rock of Ages, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The project follows Sherrie (Hough), a small-town girl who moves to Los Angeles to follow her dreams of becoming an actress. There, she catches the eye of the charming, but arrogant, star Stacee Jaxx, to be played by Tom Cruise.

On Monday night's finale of his VH1 show Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It, the Poison frontman got down on one knee. Kristi Gibson's response: "Are you sure?" Michaels followed up with, "I'm sure."

Alec Baldwin and Tom Cruise are close to rocking together on the big screen in the film adaptation of the Broadway musical Rock of Ages.
Baldwin has been offered the supporting role of Bourbon Room owner Dennis Dupree, while Cruise is in negotiations to play rock star Stacee Jaxx, according to The Wrap.
