Although undeniable attractive, this slender Jersey girl with a killer smile has yet to make much of an impression beyond her stellar looks. The star of all of her high school's musicals, Perabo moved to New York post-college seeking to break into the biz, and soon landed a Skittles commercial. 2000 was her breakthrough year with a pair of high-profile roles. Although both
The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle — an ill-advised live-action incarnation of the beloved cartoon — and
Coyote Ugly — a cheesy sexploitation flick masquerading as a female-empowerment film — were critically lambasted, the latter was a minor hit, and earned Perabo, as wide-eyed innocent turned stripping bartender, her share of fans. The up-and-coming starlet continued to work steadily, appearing in B-movies of all genres: wacky comedies (
Slap Her... She's French), lame horror flicks (
The Cave) and family films (both
Cheaper by the Dozens). But to date, this seemingly pleasant player has yet to find a project that showcases her acting abilities.
