Pierce Brosnan Fast Facts:

Trained as a commercial artist during his early days in London. He returned to painting as a therapeutic response to wife Cassandra Harris' death from ovarian cancer in 1991. Continues to create and sell his art to support the Brosnan Trust, a foundation for women's and children's health charities.
Studied acting at the Drama Centre in London.
Introduced to 007 series producer Albert Broccoli by his late wife, who was a Bond Girl in For Your Eyes Only (1981).
Launched his production company, Irish DreamTime, in 1996.
Became an American citizen in 2004, and maintains dual Irish citizenship.
Has lobbied to protect marine mammals and been a vocal advocate for the Natural Resources Defense Council.
