The sibling rivalry between Frasier and Niles reaches a fever pitch when they compare IQ scores. Frasier, Niles, Martin and Roz attend a charity auction. Niles eagerly places a bid for a private lunch with three Nobel Prize winners, but soon finds himself in a bidding war with Frasier. Eventually, Niles prevails and pays over $4000 for the privilege. Not wanting to miss the event, Frasier agrees to match the bid, which will assure him a place at the table. Once the smoke clears, Frasier and Niles try to figure out why they've always been so competitive. They believe it began when they used to jockey for their mother's favor as children. She always told them their IQ scores were two points apart, but never revealed whose was higher. Later, Frasier is stunned when they find the IQ results among their mother's belongings: Niles' score was actually 27 points higher than Frasier's! To prep for the lunch with the Nobel laureates, Frasier 'crams' all night at the university library so he can keep up with Niles. An allergy attack compels Niles to take pills that wind up slurring his speech. Between Frasier's exhaustion and Niles' medicine, the two brothers blow their big lunch. That evening, Frasier and Niles realize that their competitiveness actually helped spur each brother on and contributed to their successes.

Sam's horrified when Rebecca redecorates his beloved poolroom, turning it into a tearoom complete with small tables, throw rugs and lace doilies. Convinced Rebecca's new venture won't bring in any money, Sam makes a bet with her that if the tearoom brings in $1,000 a week, she can keep it as it is. At first, Sam's predictions come true. Business is dismal, and Rebecca can't even keep Frasier and Lilith as customers. Things change for the better, however, when Woody brings his homemade chili to the bar. Rebecca begins to serve the concoction in the tearoom, creating a buying frenzy among Cheers' regular patrons and bringing in new ones. Realizing he may have lost the bet, Sam places an anonymous call to the fire marshal reporting the operation of a kitchen without a permit. However, when the marshal arrives, he's more interested in obtaining the recipe for the chili than in shutting Rebecca's operation down. Sam finally admits that he made the call and offers to pay Rebecca $50 for a bowl of chili, a move that would bring Rebecca's take for the week to $1,000. However, as he heads to the tearoom to get his own bowl, he causes an explosion that destroys the room. Also available on iTunes

Frasier is upset when Lilith's new book labels him a boring, dependable 'good boy.' Lilith appears on a women's talk show to promote her first book, 'Good Girls/Bad Boys.' Frasier asks Sam to join him in the audience to provide moral support, but the two of them end up as guests when the discussion gets out of hand. In order to spice up the show, the host, Brenda, manipulates Lilith into labeling Frasier as a 'good boy' and Sam as a 'bad boy.' After the two men describe their dating styles, the women in the audience go crazy over Sam, chanting for him to 'take it off.' Sam returns to the bar triumphant, surrounded by excited women. Meanwhile, Frasier feels dejected and bitter toward Lilith and her theories. Feeling dull and undesirable, he sets off to prove he's not just a 'good boy.' He can 'take a walk on the wild side' and be a 'bad boy' too. Frasier's quest leads him to a brief encounter with a female biker named 'Viper.' His experience teaches him that being a 'good boy' doesn't necessarily mean he's dull, but rather a sensitive, caring, giving husband. Also available on iTunes and VUDU
