However, they bicker over how to spend the fortune if they win, and Monica irritates everyone else by buying tickets just for her and Chandler. Exasperated, Phoebe takes the bowl of everyone's tickets and threatens to throw it off the balcony. The others reconcile, but a pigeon startles Phoebe, causing her to drop the bowl anyway. Lillian is nervous about the city inspector's examination of her diner as well as Buddy's radio show, which will be broadcast live from 'The Yesterday Caf?.' Buddy is concerned that he will not be able to fill up the air time on his own, so he begs Walter and the Powell kids to help out and be his guests. The next day at the diner, the inspector arrives to check on the electrical wiring and announces that he is closing the place unless Lillian pays him off.
