House, Charlyne Yi and Hugh Laurie
The decision to end House after eight seasons wasn't easy — and, it turns out, didn't necessarily have to come at all this year.
According to insiders, star Hugh Laurie and his fellow executive producers David Shore and Katie Jacobs were eager to bring the long-running Fox drama back for one more year, despite conventional wisdom that everyone was ready to move on. One exec believes that Laurie, one of the highest-paid actors on TV (he makes $700,000 an episode), was even prepared to take a pay cut in order to return.
The band is back together.
On Monday's House (9/8c, Fox) Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie) finally lures Drs. Chase (Jesse Spencer) and Taub (Peter Jacobson) back to Princeton-Plainsboro to rejoin his team of diagnosticians.
Last season on House, Dr. Taub (Peter Jacobson) learned he had impregnated two women. And come Episode 5, after House exits prison and the action returns to Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital, we will see Taub "reaping the benefits of my exploits," says Jacobson.

Please tell me E.J. Barrett's NCIS return will be short-lived. I need Tiva! — Hanna
ADAM: Let's let Michael Weatherly offer his take. "There's a new wrinkle in [Tony and E.J.'s] relationship, and I would say it is somewhat troubling," he says. "I think Tony questions a lot of things about her, and I don't think there's any going back to their initial blinky-blinky, lovey-dovey plot." But before your little 'shipper heart explodes, that doesn't necessarily guarantee loads of Tony-Ziva goodness. "Tony ultimately has to lean on himself. He has to figure some of his own stuff out," Weatherly says. "That might make him more able down the road to approach a relationship with Ziva."
