Peter Gallagher, Kathleen Turner
Californication's Hank Moody has a new literary contact and a new antagonist in the third season of Califonication, courtesy of new castmates Kathleen Turner and Peter Gallagher.
Maybe it's us, but the sultry-voiced Turner (Body Heat, War of the Roses) seems like the perfect choice to play Charlie's (Evan Handler) sexy and tough new agency head — who has a thing for him. Turner is slated to appear in 10 of the season's 12 episodes. Let the awesomely awkward sexual harassment begin!
Meanwhile, Hank (David Duchovny), who will be blundering his way through his role as a single parent to Becca (Madeleine Martin) this season, takes a new gig as a university professor. As reported last week, Numbers' Diane Farr will join the cast as a sexy teacher's assistant who gets her naughty on with Hank in several episodes.
OC's Peter Gallagher will play a dean of students who has a contentious relationship with Hank in eight episodes. Read on and comment after the jump!

Twas the night before Chrismukkah, when people worried through The O.C.Because Ryan wasnt stirring, stuck in a coma was he.Chrismukkah is always very special on The O.C., and this installment didnt disappoint. This year they borrowed a popular page from the TV Christmas Handbook and did their own alt-universe spin on Its a Wonderful Life. George Bailey stand-in Ryan was able to see what life in Newport would have been like if he never arrived there, and it wasnt pretty. But it was funny. Funniest of all had to be Summer, Chesters mindless bimbo of a bride-to-be. Every time the clueless, bling-loving junior Newpsie was on screen I cracked up. And although the save-the-earth Summer that we have come to know the past few months can be a bit of a downer, this episode showed how things would have been much worse if Summer had gone in the opposite direction.Likewise, it showed Sandy going in a direction that strayed far from the et...

Veronica Mars' Kristen Bell and Harry Hamlin
Question: Yay, Wallace is back on Veronica Mars! What else can we look forward to when the second half of the season kicks off?
Answer: The show is working on its own version of "Aaron Echolls: The E! True Hollywood Story" to be cut into an upcoming episode, and exec producer Rob Thomas needs our help. You see, the spoof is supposed to feature an interview with the actor playing Echolls in the TV-movie "The Aaron Echolls Story," but in a funny twist, Rob is having a tough time casting the role. "We actually attempted to book Peter Gallagher," Thomas says, "but we didn't have enough money in our budget for Peter's agents to 'take it seriously.'" Now this is where we come in. Rob is curious who AA readers think should "play" Harry Hamlin's evil alter ego. Although he admits "it's doubtful we'll actually be able to book their top choice, we may give it a shot." OK, guys, it's not every day that the man in

Most people know that before Peter Gallagher played The O.C.'s Sandy Cohen, he acted in films (While You Were Sleeping was this reporter's personal fave). They also know he's workin' the bushiest eyebrows on the Fox network. But folks seem to have forgotten the dude can sing, too! (Prior to starring in Broadway's Guys and Dolls, the Tufts University alum sang in a student a capella group called the Beelzebubs.) Tonight at 8 pm/ET, the 50-year-old crooner lends his singing voice to Sandy for a big milestone occasion.TV Guide Online: After much anticipation, we'll finally get to hear Sandy sing.Peter Gallagher: The O.C. has brought me many wonderful things, but the last thing I expected was the chance to sing a great song with great musicians in front of a lot of people. So it's been an embarrassment of riches so far.
TVGO: At least it's not an embarrassment, period. You can sing, but not all TV actors can croon well in
