Californication's Hank Moody has a new literary contact and a new antagonist in the third season of Califonication, courtesy of new castmates Kathleen Turner and Peter Gallagher.
Maybe it's us, but the sultry-voiced Turner (Body Heat, War of the Roses) seems like the perfect choice to play Charlie's (Evan Handler) sexy and tough new agency head — who has a thing for him. Turner is slated to appear in 10 of the season's 12 episodes. Let the awesomely awkward sexual harassment begin!
Meanwhile, Hank (David Duchovny), who will be blundering his way through his role as a single parent to Becca (Madeleine Martin) this season, takes a new gig as a university professor. As reported last week, Numbers' Diane Farr will join the cast as a sexy teacher's assistant who gets her naughty on with Hank in several episodes.

Lifetime's fall slate, as revealed at the TCA summer press tour, includes a Friday-night block of reality programming: the returning Lisa Williams: Life Among the Dead, followed by the new competition series America's Psychic Challenge (the winner is the one who knows they've won before it begins...?).The cabler also set air dates for The Murder of Princess Diana (starring House's Jennifer Morrison; Aug. 25) and Custody (starring James Denton and Rob Morrow; Sept. 8), while More of Me (with Molly Shannon times three) and the miniseries The Gathering (with Peter Gallagher and Jamie-Lynn Sigler) get fall bows.

‘Twas the night before Chrismukkah,when people worried through The O.C.Because Ryan wasn’t stirring,stuck in a coma was he.Chrismukkah is always very special on The O.C., and this installment didn’t disappoint. This year they borrowed a popular page from the TV Christmas Handbook and did their own “alt-universe” spin on It’s a Wonderful Life. George Bailey stand-in Ryan was able to see what life in Newport would have been like if he never arrived there, and it wasn’t pretty. But it was funny. Funniest of all had to be Summer, Chester’s “mindless bimbo” of a bride-to-be. Every time the clueless, bling-loving junior Newpsie was on screen I cracked up. Answer: The show is working on its own version of "Aaron Echolls: The E! True Hollywood Story" to be cut into an upcoming episode, and exec producer Rob Thomas needs our help. You see, the spoof is supposed to feature an interview with the actor playing Echolls in the TV-movie "The Aaron Echolls Story," but in a funny twist, Rob is having a tough time casting the role. "We actually attempted to book Peter Gallagher," Thomas says, "but we didn't have enough money in our budget for Peter's agents to 'take it seriously.'" Now this is where we come in. Most people know that before Peter Gallagher played The O.C.'s Sandy Cohen, he acted in films (While You Were Sleeping was this reporter's personal fave). They also know he's workin' the bushiest eyebrows on the Fox network. But folks seem to have forgotten the dude can sing, too!
