BRINGING RAIN is an experimental pop low-budget cult indie film about boarding school kids. Starring Adrian Grenier, Paz de la Huerta, Merritt Wever, Alexis Dziena, Ryan Donowho, Rodrigo Lopresti, Olek Krupa, Val Emmich, Ray Santiago, Noah Fleiss, Nathalie Paulding, Niesha Butler, and Larisa Oleynik-- Rain tells the story of boarding school students that have suffered a scarring accident. Stuck together for the last month of school, they are faced with either dealing with the reality of the damage done, or drifting off into isolated fantasies and denials. When a 16-year-old girl (guest star Paz De La Huerta) claims that she was sexually assaulted by a man, Detectives Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Stabler (Christopher Meloni) delve into the netherworld of Internet porn in search of the suspect known as "The Yachtsman" (guest star Reed Birney) but they soon discover how difficult it is to prosecute cyberspace p*******es. However, while investigating an illicit online service, the cops seize upon an opportunity to coax a sex offender into setting up a sting operation designed to lure in more deviants.
