Paulina Porizkova
America's Next Top Model judge Paulina Porizkova says she's been fired from the reality competition series.
Only one night before the Season 12 finale of America's Next Top Model (Wednesday at 8 pm/ET on CW), Porizkova told late night host Craig Ferguson she was axed — on her birthday, no less.
"Listen, do you know why I am in Los Angeles ... because I am looking for a job because I was fired by America's Next Top Model on my birthday," said Porizkova.
So why did the model, who replaced model Twiggy in Season 10, get the boot?
"The reason I was told I was fired was because ...

Whitney by Jim DeYonker /The CW
Cheers to Tyra Banks for finally putting her money where her mouth is and picking a full-figured winner of America's Next Top Model. It only took ten cycles to do it, but there's no denying Whitney deserved the title, especially considering her final competition: the deeply vapid Anya. (Tyra said she looked like a mannequin and meant it as a compliment; Paulina Porizkova said she looked dumb and didn't.) Whitney owned the runway with energy and personality to spare. Stacy-Ann, Claire and Anya by John Paul Filo/The CW
Jeers to America's Next Top Model for kicking off Claire. For what reason exactly because she was too consistent? True, she was consistently the best! But maybe the married mom didn't create enough drama for Tyra Banks and Co. So they give her the boot and keep Lauren, whom Paulina Porizkova damned with the faint praise that she was "a little less Frankenstein-y" this week? And don't get me started on that not-so-hot mess Dominique. Sorry, Ty-Ty: This may be my last Top Model "go-see." For more Cheers & Jeers, check out the new vodcast. Paulina Porizkova, America's Next Top Model
Paulina Porizkova, the newest judge on America's Next Top Model (Wednesdays at 8 pm/ET, CW), sounds off on her hidden talent, beauty secrets and picture-perfect marriage.
TV Guide: Were you a fan of America's Next Top Model before joining the show?Paulina Porizkova: I watched the marathons on VH1 or MTV. Last season I became enamored of Heather, the girl with Asperger's syndrome. Once she was voted off, I didn't watch anymore.
TV Guide: Do you think you would have been a good Top Model contestant?Porizkova: At 18, I would have been voted off the show because of my attitude. I'd have been up there going, "Yeah, I don't care about this show, and I don't care about modeling." And they would have said, "Bye-bye."
TV Guide: How are you different from the show'

Will Sabrina clobber the competition again? Sabrina Bryan, Mark Ballas by Carol Kaelson/ABC
Josie Maran's dismissal marks the second season in a row that the first star to be eliminated is a supermodel. Paulina Porizkova went last time, and, coincidentally, she was also paired with Alec Mazo. (What did he do to deserve such a fate?) Are they too accustomed to the straight line of the runway? Or are these swimsuit mannequins simply not used to wearing so many clothes? In any case, with Sabrina Bryan taking the early lead going into the second round, it just goes to show you that sometimes Cheetahs do prosper. Joe Friedrich

Last night our stars had a sort of second chance to make a first impression. Initially, I was against not having an elimination last week, but the judges commented that they were grateful for the chance to see everyone do both Latin and ballroom dances, and that is a good point some people are simply better at one style than the other. OK, so they won me over with this new wait-a-week system. So who benefited from this extra week? First and foremost, Billy Ray Cyrus. Wow, did he step it up. The judges crowned him most improved performer and it was a well deserved title. I enjoyed watching his performance; he was actually doing the quick step, and moving at a fast pace. Taking into account this turnaround and adding in his huge Hannah fanbase, I dont think this cowboy will be exiting the dance floor just yet.In addition to Billy Ray, Heather Mills also gained a lot from this part-two performance. Love her or hate her (she seems to inspire impassioned responses...

Topic One: Dancing with the Stars. One long grin, that show is. Id forgotten what a fun lark it can be, after the last few months of watching American Idol take itself way too seriously. Nothings really at stake on the Dancing show, except minor issues like dignity and rescuing B-list reputations from the celebrity coal bin. Early front-runners: Joey Fatone (especially if he keeps shedding the pounds as he dances) and Apolo Anton Ohno, the closest thing the show has to a hottie. (Possible miscalculation of keeping up his skating schedule when he should be perfecting his dance moves. He wasnt nearly as electrifying as he needs to be.) And because a female is overdue a win on this show, lets not count out Laila Ali, an interesting mix of athleticism, aggression and (when it matters) unexpected grace and charm.Charm really is the selling point of this ABC phenom. Even a klutz like Billy Ray Cyrus probably earned a few pity points for being a good sport. And I...

And theyre off! The 11 latest celebrities to put on their dancing shoes hit the ballroom live last night. It was step one of their quest for that fabulous, sparkling Dancing with the Stars trophy. Throughout the show, the hosts pointed out that this is the most remarkable cast ever and that we were watching history-making television. Its good to know that theyre keeping this fun, lighthearted dance show in perspective.OK, while they may have overstated things a bit, there were some firsts last night that did indeed set it apart from past seasons: their tallest contestant ever, NBA star Clyde Drexler, standing at 6-foot-7; their first contestant with an artificial limb, Heather Mills; and their youngest competitor, professional dancer Julianne Hough, who is all of 18.Another big difference from last season was that, overall, most of the celebrities participating this year are pretty well known. Theres much less of the Whos t...
