OK, is this weird? I could watch the Food Network all day. I'm serious. I might have even spent a Sunday doing just that. Anyone else? (Ali, I know you're out there!) Now, I have no culinary experience aside from watching my grandmother whip up family-size entrees without measuring a thing or glancing at a cookbook. The union to which the staffers want to belong is trying to get the Food Network dish to cut her ties to the company for which she has been a spokeswoman since last fall and they're not shy about letting her know it. During a recent book-tour appearance at the National Museum of Natural History, two dozen protesters held a prayer rally outside. Those rabble-rousers! What will they think of next?
