J.D. insists that Carla should open up to him, share a little bit more about herself. When she finally starts to do that, J.D. screws it up by telling Turk he thinks she's crazy. Now he has to work his way to regain her trust. Meanwhile, Elliot is sodesperate for attention from Dr. Cox that she even agrees on giving the dying news to the patients' families, which causes her a great deal of emotional stress. Finally, Dr. Cox, feeling sorry for her, tells her they'll never be colleagues while he's her superior. And Turk sees himself in an ethical dilemma when Dr. Kelso picks him over a female surgeon to spend a weekend in Mexico. He realizes the female doctor should've won it, and the only reason she didn't is because she's a woman. watch
J.D. (Zach Braff) convinces Carla (Judy Reyes) to open up to him about her insecurities and her feelings toward Turk (Donald Faison) only to betray her confidence by sharing that information with Turk. Turk is thrilled when Dr. Kelso (Ken Jenkins) selects him over his toughest competition, Bonnie (guest star Lela Lee), to represent Sacred Heart on a trip for the "Doctors Without Borders" program, however when he learns that the only reason Bonnie wasn't selected was because she was a girl, he reconsiders. Meanwhile, Elliot (Sarah Chalke) tries to score points with Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) by volunteering to deliver bad news to his patients on his behalf, but when she is forced to be the bearer of bad news repeatedly, she learns that there is a limit to how much she can take. Neil Flynn also stars. watch
