Alvarez Kelly -- This is the story of a renegade adventurer, ALVAREZ KELLY (William Holden), who gets caught in the middle of the Civil War. With no loyalties to either North or South, Kelly is hired to drive a herd of cattle from Mexico to the Union Army in Virginia. However, along the way he is captured by Confederate Colonel Tom Rossiter (Richard Widmark) who persuades him...by shooting off a finger to deliver the cattle to starving Confederates in Richmond. At a bridge leading to Richmond, the Union Army attacks and a bloody battle ensues in which Kelly risks his own life to save a Confederate officer. In the end, Kelly's fate once again lies in the hands of Colonel Rossiter.

This saga of the wagon-train journey of a group of Western pioneers from Independence, Missouri, to Oregon along the historic Oregon Trail (from the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by A.B. Guthrie, Jr.) is known for its breathtaking photography of the Western expanse (by William H. Clothier). Kirk Douglas portrays a widowed senator who leads the wagon train, and Robert Mitchum plays the troubled trail scout--a man plagued by poor eyesight. The trials of the trail include Indian attacks and the inevitable human conflicts of men and women who are living in close quarters in a volatile, tense and dangerous atmosphere. Among the members of the party: a highly irascible and colorful Richard Widmark, and Sally Field in her first film role.

This saga of the old west involves twin brothers who compete for possession of a rickety cow town founded by their father while a crooked mayor tries to put an end to the competitors so he can inherit the town himself.

On the ocean floor off a Caribbean island, an American engineer building a new harbor sets off a blast that uncovers the frozen bodies of a Brontosaurus, a Tyrannosaurus Rex and a Neanderthal man. The dinosaurs are hauled ashore by the construction crew, who are unaware that the giants are actually alive, in a state of suspended animation. Struck by lightning during a fierce tropical storm, the monsters awaken and prowl the island jungles. Also restored to life is the cave man, an amiable brute who joins an island boy in a series of wacky misadventures. A merry grab bag of sci-fi, action and comedy, "Dinosaurus!" features stop-motion dinosaur animation by the legendary Projects Unlimited effects team (The Time Machine, "The Outer Limits").
