Is there a more universally likable comedy-person right now than Ed Helms? Maybe Paul Rudd? Steve Carell? The fact that he;s even in the discussion is a well-earned compliment, because he;s awesome. To reaffirm said awesomeness, Helms dropped by the Tonight Show last night to again prove that he;s basically a less stupid version of Andy Bernard in real life, engaging in a wacky improvised scat-session alongside the Jonas Brothers. Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald can make love, give birth to a superchild, and have that child eat his effing heart out (Scat-time starts in the last minute of the clip): watch

Two men from wildly different stations in life find their paths crossing in unexpected ways in this independent drama written and directed by actor Paul Fitzgerald. Peter Miles (Fitzgerald) is the district attorney in a small Southern town, where he's developed a reputation as a hard-liner against crime, a proudly conservative Christian, and a friend of fellow Republicans. Just as Miles is preparing to announce his candidacy for a Senate seat, a name from his past reappears -- Ronald Bradler (Russell Hornsby). Bradler is an African-American ex-con who was sent to death row on dubious evidence in a case prosecuted by Miles; a last-minute pardon by the governor after a new review of the evidence saved his life, but while Bradler is now a free man, he's still burdened by his past. Bradler finds it all but impossible to get a job or lead a quiet life after he returns to society, but soon Miles gets a taste of the same treatment when some unflattering secrets from his past become public. As if the result of some strange mass-media fluke, the popular radio program A Prairie Home Companion somehow managed to survive the television age to entertain its audience every Saturday night from the stage of the historic Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, MN. Week after week, hangdog host Garrison Keillor serves as unflappable emcee to an amiable hodgepodge of radio-friendly acts that include the likes of popular country duo Yolanda and Rhonda Johnson (Meryl Streep and Lily Tomlin) and singing cowboys the Old Trailhands (Woody Harrelson and John C. Back on November 14 2006 when we saw the future lives of the NipTuck characters I mostly praised the episode since it was such a pleasant change of pace What I wasnt thinking at the time was how unfortunate it would become as a viewer that we know exactly what will become of the characters So Julia got shot last week so what We know that she survives since she was in the future episode So Christian and Annie got in a car crash caused by paparazzi this week We knew immediately that theyd be OK since theyre also in that episode And now even after multiple knife stabs in his back by crazy Colleen at the very end even though blood was gushing out of his mouth Sean cant be dead he too was in that damn futuristic episode Of course one can argue that the episode-of-the-future couldve just been someones dream but it wasnt presented that way when it aired so I guess I have the right to bitch about it right Imagine how shocking and suspenseful that stabbing read more
