Maggie Q and Aaron Stanford
Watch out, Amanda! Birkhoff is not a happy hacker. On Friday's episode of Nikita (9/8c, The CW), Birkhoff (Aaron Stanford) is still reeling from Amanda (Melinda Clarke) killing ...
Danielle Brooks with Uzo Aduba and Oh Honey
This week, in order to get into the Christmas spirit, Orange Is the New Black stars Danielle Brooks and Uzo Aduba recorded a holiday medley, and someone made a mashup video of Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) singing "Let It Snow." Also, Olympic diver Tom Daley posed a coming-out video, an adorable 4-year-old boy named Noah got over his embarrassment about wearing glasses on the Today show, and Steve Coogan did some spot-on celebrity impersonations for Ellen DeGeneres. Check out those clips and more in our weekly roundup of the best online videos:
Nicholas Hoult, James McAvoy and Hugh Jackman
Worlds collide in the first trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Based on the story line from the comics of the same name, the film follows Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) as he goes back in time to prevent a war against mutants.
Who'll win at this year's Emmys? Who knows? It's the only major awards show where the old guard and new blood clash on an annual basis, and among the few things you can bet on in this unpredictable process are that Michael Douglas will win for his Liberace impersonation (ditto his HBO movie Behind the Candelabra) and that host Neil Patrick Harris will do his damnedest to make CBS's live Emmys telecast (8/7c, 5 Pacific) as enjoyable as the Tonys.
Sunny Ozell and Patrick Stewart
Patrick Stewart married his girlfriend, singer/songwriter Sunny Ozell, over the weekend, Us Weekly reports. The ceremony took place on Sunday and was officiated by Stewart's X-Men co-star Ian McKellen.
Patrick Stewart, best known for his roles in X-Men and Star Trek, has finally joined the ranks of most Americans by eating his first slice of pizza... ever.
The 72-year-old actor...
Patrick Stewart, Ian Mckellen
It's actually happening. Magneto is marrying Professor X — well, kind of. Sir Ian McKellen is set to officiate the wedding of his co-star Sir Patrick Stewart to Sunny Ozell, a 35-year-old jazz singer.
Peter Dinklage is joining the cast of the new X-Men movie, Days of Future Past, according to director Bryan Singer. There's no word on who the Game of Thrones star will play.
Star Trek: The Next Generation
Strap in for some new-old voyages of the Starship Enterprise. Another 22 episodes will be in your orbit when the second season of Star Trek: The Next Generation reenters the stratosphere on Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday. And, hey, it's only been 22 years since the season's finale and 15 years since it was released on VHS! That's like nothing in light years, right?
Someone should go ask Data (Brent Spiner). Let's just call this set his showpiece. The most exciting entry (of many) in this set's special features is an extended version of the episode "The Measure of Man," in which Data must prove to a Starfleet court (with the help of Patrick Stewart's loyal, fatherly Captain Picard as his "lawyer") that he's a sentient being in order to prevent some corporate-paid mad-as-heck scientist from cracking open his head in order to study his positronic brain. This isn't just a longer episode — some scenes are shot entirely differently than in the broadcast version. Some you've never seen before. (You purists also get the original version and a hybrid copy with more extra material.)
The trilogy is now complete. Family Guy's popular series of Star Wars parodies — the Empire Strikes Back installment was the No. 3 best-selling Blu-ray release of 2009 — goes for the intergalactic trifecta with a spoof of Return of The Jedi.
As you can tell by TV Guide Magazine's exclusive first look at the poster art, the still untitled project retains its faithful tone...
