Over the years, Grey's Anatomy has seen its fair share of new characters — like a real hospital, there's a revolving door of incoming interns and outgoing residents. Hate them or love them, this season's interns have taken on more prominent roles. We've already shared our, ahem, opinions on the polarizing quintet, but with the ABC medical drama heading towards its ninth season finale, we're reexamining each intern to decide whether they should stick around next season...
When Grey's Anatomy returns Thursday (9/8c on ABC), there will be plenty of changes going down at Seattle Grace. First and foremost, Jackson (Jesse Williams), who was only promoted to attending this season to fill the void left by Mark Sloan (Eric Dane), is now actually in charge of the whole hospital.
The plane crash survivors on Grey's Anatomy may want to use their settlement money to save Seattle Grace from bankruptcy, but it may not be an easy thing to accomplish.

"That's a new thing for these interns because [Brennan] holds their future in her hands. He has so many degrees and is so accomplished, he doesn't need her. It's very disorienting and disconcerting for her."

One of those improvements — besides closing the ER — includes marketing the hospital with the face of one of its own doctors.
Mega Buzz: Who's leaving Seattle Grace?!
Naturally, two of Seattle Grace's McHotties, Jackson (Jesse Williams) and Alex (Justin Chambers), will be first in line for that coveted position. "Jackson and Alex have...
