Lara Spencer has signed a multi-year deal to be the sole host of the syndicated entertainment news series The Insider beginning in the fall. Along with the hosting duties, Spencer will move to Los Angeles, where the show will be based. The show will also appear in high definition starting in September.Pat O'Brien, who has cohosted the series for several years with Spencer, temporarily left the show in February to continue rehab. Rumors abound, thanks mostly to the New York Post's Page Six, that that scandal-prone TV host Pat O'Brien will not be coming back to the air on The Insider. Donny Osmond, the show's current co-host, will reportedly be turning his part-time gig into a permanent position. Osmond took over for O'Brien temporarily after he checked into rehab for the second time on Feb. 8. The show's producers have yet to make an official announcment regarding O'Brien's future.
