Pamela Light

Danny Kaye stars as Ernie Williams, a timid U.S. soldier in World War II who bears a striking resemblance to a British colonel. When his commanders ask him to impersonate the man -- to deceive the enemy about his real activities -- Ernie complies. What his higher-ups don't tell Ernie is that he's also been targeted by assassins and that the colonel's mistress, Sgt. Stanhope (Diana Dors), is a Nazi agent.
