Ozzy Osbourne fans can soon put their air guitars away and turn on the tube: The rocker and his family have set a return date.
The Osbournes: Reloaded premieres March 31 (9 pm/ET, Fox), and promises to bring a new slew of antics with it. In a format that sounds part talk-show, part Jackass — plus many parts Ozzy — the new series will feature studio-audience interaction, shocking stunts and a brash sensibility. Highlights include such scintillating moments as Sharon Osbourne unveiling a stripping grandmother, her children Kelly and Jack bringing a ladies' man face-to-face with his exes and Ozzy spraying foam into the audience.
Reloaded marks the Osbournes' return to TV as a family for the first time since their MTV reality foray ended in 2005.

Matt and Mickey here at the TCA press tour. Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly has taken the stage to field questions. • First discussing Fringe, Reilly says that Fox was hot to work with J.J. Abrams, and thus offered him a series "on Day 1." Pegging Fringe as "X-Files meets Indiana Jones," Reilly says, "Sometimes with these big show runners, it's all hype and no delivery.... This one is going to bring the goods."• Reilly reiterates that which has been said before and by others: "24 is going to come back rocking and rolling" after suffering hard from a full season's postponement. "It was a good opportunity for [exec producer] Howard [Gordon], who is such a perfectionist," he explains. "He was really wanting this next season to be great, and it was unfortunate that he got interrupted [by the WGA strike]." The Osbournes are once again inviting the cameras into their tumultuous lives. This time, they'll appear on Fox, and they've got a new schtick.Ozzy, Sharon, Jack and Kelly will headline a variety show — produced by FremantleMedia North America (the folks who bring you American Idol) — that will include a mix of performances, stunts and competitions.Fox alternative programming chief Mike Darnell told Variety the Osbournes' show — currently with the working title The Osbournes: Loud and Dangerous — is likely to launch as a Christmas special, and that he sees the show as a potential throwback to Donny and Marie's variety show from the 1970s (Osbournes? Osmonds? That's a stretch, dude, but we'll go with it).Sharon, by the way, is still under contract as a judge on NBC's America's Got Talent. Ozzy Osbourne had "a minor outpatient procedure" performed in Denver over the weekend before he took off for the next stop on his tour. What ailed him? Officially, no one's saying. But NBC affiliate KUSA-TV alleges that he underwent surgery for a blood clot after experiencing leg pain on Saturday.... Kiss lead singer Paul Stanley bailed on a weekend performance with his bandmates Friday when, during a sound check, his heart rate leapt to 190-plus beats per minute. Understandable: I mean, 190 bpm is fine for a Donna Summer show, but Kiss? Not so much.

The New York Post reports that Ozzy Osbourne was to have appeared on last week's American Idol finale but backed out in the 11th hour upon learning that "he would have to do a duet with Sanjaya. Ozzy said he didn't want to be on stage with that idiot." Instead, Joe Perry of Aerosmith did the, um, honors.
