There will be plenty of familiar faces when Last Comic Standing returns to NBC this spring. And, no, we don't mean comedian-turned-reality TV host Bill Bellamy. The show once again will scour the country to find funnymen and women in open casting calls. But this time, producers will replace regular judges with a revolving door of celebrity talent scouts. "I'm going to be nice and pregnant, so entertain me," quips Angela Kinsey, who will whittle down Los Angeles-area wannabes with The Office costar Oscar Nunez. "I tend to really love comedians who weave the fabric of their lives into their stand-up, because I think real life is always better than anything you can write!" Even as host of the most glamorous of Hollywood shows such as the Oscars and the Emmys, Ellen DeGeneres opted to sport beautifully tailored velvet or silk tuxedos instead of the more conventional gown. In the hilarious third-season premiere of NBC's The Office (Thursdays at 8:30 pm/ET), Oscar Martinez was unceremoniously outed by Michael, and subsequently awarded paid leave by Dunder-Mifflin to curb any litigious thoughts. In reality, the accountant's portrayer, Oscar Nuñez, took a leave from the show to exec-produce and star in the Comedy Central series Halfway Home. Hello, Office fans. The Office drunk with the red hair here with all the Golden Globe news for Dunder-Mifflin fans. Do not mourn our loss the other night, friends. Do not. Comedy Central has OK'd production on 10 episodes of Halfway Home, a new improv series about parolee housemates. Among the ex-cons is The Office's Oscar Nunez, who'll play a male prostitute. The show is tentatively scheduled to debut in 2007. Did I really just write an item about a new comedy and not include a joke?
