Former sports idol and sometime-actor O.J. Simpson on Friday was convicted of kidnapping, armed robbery and 10 other charges stemming from the Sept. 13, 2007, robbery of two sports-memorabilia dealers, at gunpoint, in a Las Vegas hotel room.
The verdict, handed down after 13-plus hours of jury deliberation, came 13 years to the day that Simpson, now 61, was acquitted of murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman.

Speaking to TV's Extra, Donald Trump confirms that the disgraced football vet once was mentioned as a contender for next season and the Peacock was less than receptive. "Let's say that NBC, when I mentioned O.J. Simpson, had a heart attack," Trump says. "They weren't thrilled. Call it the most imperfect storm. As the WGA strike enters Day 10, a Las Vegas judge has ruled that O.J. "If I Did It" Simpson must stand trial on kidnapping and robbery charges stemming from his September invasion of a Sin City hotel room to seize mementos from his sports career. "This is what we expected," Simpson said after the ruling came down. "If I have any disappointment, it's that I wish a jury was here.
