Bo and Hope panic when they find Ciara's teddy bear in the forest. Justin informs them the police have arrived and Bo sends out a frantic search for Ciara. Meanwhile, kidnapper Kyle has Ciara in shack and tells her to keep quiet. His accomplices, Brenda and Dean show up and the three of them put their plan in motion. At the station, Bo and Hope are on the same page in finding Ciara, but cracks are starting to show in their relationship from the strain. Justin mediates as best he can until a ransom note is delivered which demands money and links Ciara's kidnapping to Hope's generous charity donation. After it's confirmed that the teddy bear was in Ciara's possession, Justin goes to Victor for the ransom money, and as Bo addresses a team of officers, it's revealed that Dean, in uniform, is a member of the force. Brady and Arianna's date is interrupted by Daniel. Daniel asks Brady to help him save Chloe while her health continues to worsen. Brady agrees to help, and always believed Daniel to be innocent. Alone, Daniel has visions of Chloe and swears he will save her. Meanwhile, Arianna's cocaine activities continue as Melanie stops by to have a heart to heart conversation. When Melanie leaves, Brady stops by unexpectedly to see Arianna, and finds cocaine of the floor. Is Arianna busted? After a close moment on the pier with Melanie, Philip takes her advice about being his own man. He confronts Victor and after a huge discussion on morals, Philip quits Titan and the family. Meanwhile, Stephanie and Nathan share a nice evening after they get past the topic of Melanie, and the two of them go the carnival for some fun. An arriving Philip tries to tell Stephanie the good news, but finds her with Nathan and attacks him. After the brawl, Stephanie rejects Philip forever before he can tell her that he left his Kiriakis lifestyle. Completely crushed and alone, Philip is found by Melanie, and he ends up kissing her passionately.

From a secret relationship with a popular guy, to being undermined by a mean girl, & parents who just don't get it - Jenna's misfortune will eventually serve as the catalyst for amazing change, but it's not without some missteps and mishaps along the way.
