We thought Gary Busey would be the must-see drama on Celebrity Apprentice, not Dionne Warwick!
Last night, the chanteuse who didn't know the way to San Jose didn't know her way around playing well with others as the teams took on a camping-themed challenge. And while yes, there were some grand Busey-isms ("I can hear my toenails grow"), his unfocused but ultimately successful stint as project manager was nothing compared to the nasty doled out by Whitney Houston's cousin at the ladies' team leader, Niki Taylor. That is not what friends — psychic or otherwise — are for, Dionne.
The Celebrity Apprentice
Country star John Rich, rapper Lil Jon and actor Gary Busey gather outside a Manhattan pizza joint with a giant inflatable guitar and a handful of fliers. Dressed as a cross between a deranged carnival worker and late-night televangelist, Busey — the natural barker of the bunch — assumes the identity of the "Pepperoni Profit" [sic], screaming at unsuspecting tourists to "stop the bus, turn off the key and get your butts in here!" The ones who oblige him score a slice — and a front-row seat to the spectacle of this season's first Celebrity Apprentice challenge, debuting tonight with a two-hour premiere.

Cheers to Make Me a Supermodel for picking Niki Taylor as one of its cohosts. On Bravo's promising new reality show, the cover girl comes across as more genuine than America's Next Top Model's Tyra Banks and warmer than Project Runway's Heidi Klum. That isn't tough, but Taylor's hard not to like and still easy on the eyes. (Her cohort Tyson Beckford ain't bad, either.) Bravo has announced that Niki Taylor and Tyson Beckford will host its new competitive reality series Make Me a Supermodel. Based (of course) on a successful U.K. series and set to premiere in 1Q 2008, Supermodel makes aspiring clotheshangers cohabitate in a New York City loft and then pits them in challenges designed to determine their worthiness. Each week, viewers vote to decide who stays and who goes. The winning catwalker gets $100,000 and the illusion of launching a pro-circuit modeling career.
Niki Taylor has filed a federal slander suit against E! Entertainment, claiming intentional infliction of emotional distress with its depiction of her in the new series Blvd. of Broken Dreams. According to court papers cited by the AP, E! allegedly told Taylor and her manager that the program would focus on the supermodel's current professional endeavors and her charitable foundation. Instead, Broken Dreams dwelled on the Taylor's past hardships, characterizing her as a celeb "who risked everything... and lost." Says Taylor in a statement, "My life is far from a 'boulevard of broken dreams,'" which is actually a block and a half from Tara Reid's place.
