Are Edie Britts days on Wisteria Lane numbered Last season ended with the calculating vixen hanging from a noose in her bedroom Yes she survived to wreak more havoc but once again tongues are wagging that Edies actions during the rest of the season are so reprehensible they could actually lead her to leave townBut Nicollette Sheridan hopes shell be saved from the chopping block again It seems Edie has quite a healthy support group out there which Im extremely grateful for she tells TV Guide When her existence is in jeopardy the audience really rallies and champions her return Adds Sheridan Ive tried to bring a sympathetic side to her Shes an antiheroine yet shes lovableNo matter how Sheridan tries to paint her character in a positive light Edie does take a turn to the dark side What does she do thats so bad One of her neighbors is in a bit of a predicament and Edie good-naturedly attempts to help her out Sheridan reveals of the May 11 episode Bu
Andrea Bowen, Girl, Positive
The bumpy road that disrupted Julie’s sexual awakening on Desperate Housewives is nothing compared to what Andrea Bowen is faced with in Lifetime’s Girl, Positive (premiering tonight at 9 pm/ET). As popular party gal Rachel, Bowen lives it up and loves up her high-school beau, until a most unexpected scare taunts her with the prospect of death. Helping her navigate the facts and fictions of HIV and AIDS are 90210 alumna Jennie Garth and Law & Order’s S. Epatha Merkerson. Is Edie eligible for voice-over duty, having hanged herself in Desperate Housewives' Season 3 finale? Or is she as lousy at looping nooses as she is at landing men? Andrea Bowen, who plays DH's Julie (and stars in the June 25 Lifetime movie Girl, Positive), says the shocker came as much as a surprise to cast members as it did to viewers. "That wasnt in the original script, it was an added thing," the teen tells TVGuide.com. "In fact, I said to Jamie [Denton, Mike], 'I'm hearing all this stuff about the last few minutes of the show, and that it has to do with Nicollette [Sheridan]. Do you know anything about it?' He was like, 'No, I dont know at all.' So I have no idea what's happening with that story line, but I think it was a great way to leave it."Has Sheridan been told if Edie will live to see another day on Wisteria Lane? "I dont know if she knows," says Bowen. "But I definitely dont know!"POLL: Do you think Edie's dead? Vote here.
Question: I was in stunned silence after the finale of Desperate Housewives! Are they really killing off Edie?
Answer: (Spoiler alert) Nicollette Sheridan is not leaving Desperate Housewives.
Well, they said the final scene would be a shocker, and they were right. I am speechless. You know how much I love my Edie. Would it be too much to ask to have Carlos heroically and miraculously walk in during the very first scene this fall and save her? I do not want this show to go on without Nicollette Sheridan. Yes, Edie is not one of the four main housewives, but the show would not be the same without her. Soap operas have had people hang themselves and be saved at the last minute. Until I get a confirmation, I'm going to spend this entire summer believing Edie is not dead. Just call me DID "Dave In Denial."Except for that ending, I was very happy with this season's finale episode. I thought it had the perfect Desperate Housewives blend of drama and comedy. I expected to be satisfied after seeing that departing coexecutive producer Joe Keenan was one of the writers (along with talented fellow coexec producer Kevin Murphy). Besides having the same job title for all those ...
