William Petersen and Nicole Sullivan by Michael Yarish/CBS
Cheers to CSI for taking a ride on the wild side. CBS' drama took a detour off the Sin City strip to probe a string of murders related to the Las Vegas rodeo. The episode rounded up a posse of rootin'-tootin' guests, including Jewel (singing the National Anthem), real-life cowboy-toy Ty Murray, outlaw offspring Shooter Jennings and sitcom vets Nicole Sullivan and Julie Brown. Not to mention a barroom full of catfighting cowgirls. Plus, the script was educational: Who knew there was such a thing as "semen rustling"? Yee-haw! Also per Us, Mad TV alum Nicole Sullivan and hubby Jason Packham welcomed their first child, a son named Dashel, on Saturday.

Question: Any news on Scrubs?
Answer: You mean aside from talk that ABC will almost certainly pick up the show should NBC cancel it? Let's see… Markie Post is returning as Elliott's mom on April 18, and on April 25, one of the world's funniest people, ex-Hot Properties stitch Nicole Sullivan, pops in as a former patient of J.D.'s. BTW, the fantasy bit last week in which J.D. visited that pound for stray Grandpas? One of the funniest things I've seen — ever. And don't even get me started about last night's revelation that J.D. and Turk watch Gilmore Girls. I swear, sometimes I think Bill Lawrence is making this show just for me.

Nicole Sullivan is at it again. Having once dared to bid adieu to a steady MADtv gig, she now has moved out of Queens (that is, CBS' high-rated King of Queens, where she had a recurring role as dog walker Holly) to fill a vacancy as Chloe in ABC's Hot Properties sitcom (premiering tonight at 9:30 pm/ET). TVGuide.com recently shared a few minutes — and a few laughs — with the bubbly comedian.
TVGuide.com: A bio of you I read online starts out, "Nicole Sullivan is strikingly beautiful and very talented." Guess it paid to get Mom that DSL line, eh?Nicole Sullivan: [Laughs] I have not seen that! Well, I'll take it. And if you knew me better, you'd know that my mother would actually never say that about m

9:10 am The session begins, and with Charlie Sheen up there like a sitting duck, I'm bummed that the first question isn't, "So, why did Denise dump you?" Does that make me a bad person? I think it does.
9:19 "We have to have fart jokes [on the show]," reasons Sheen's TV mom, the regal Holland Taylor, "because everyone in the cast farts constantly." Tee-hee. Holland Taylor said "farts."
9:25 A reporter asks another question that isn't, "I have to ask: You. Denise. What's the deal there, huh?" Bummer.
9:40 Scoop! Charlie confirms that his real-life pa, Martin Sheen, will guest-star this season.
9:45 Speaking on behalf of chiropractors everywhere, a reporter informs Jon Cryer — who plays a back-cracker on Men — that "they love the fact that you're giving them a face."
