Eddie (Brad Garrett) and Joy (Joely Fisher) get into an argument when she insists on knowing when he will be home from Karl's (Nick Bakay) house. Aggravated with the way their wives make them report in, Eddie and Jeff (Eddie Kaye Thomas) find they are jealous of Karl's cozy life with his second wife and decide to try to implement some changes in their own marriages. In an effort to mimic the habits of a "second marriage couple," Eddie convinces Joy to have separate bank accounts.
