What can you tease about the two-hour episode of Private Practice? —Jessica
NATALIE: As you might expect on an episode about Amelia's intervention, her brother Derek Shepherd will make an appearance! It won't mean things go smoothly though, as Amelia will turn the tables on her friends by exploiting their faults — Addison's inability to have a child, Pete's recent heart attack — causing two of the bunch to have very Izzie-like reactions.
I'd love some good Castle scoop. — Mike
ADAM: Sounds like Castle and Beckett are going to be working closely with...

Audra McDonald to exit Private Practice
Knowing that Sam (Taye Diggs) is about to operate on the man who raped his fiancé, Cooper (Paul Adelstein) will try to convince his friend to let Lee die on the table.
"He feels that Lee McHenry is a real threat to Charlotte, whether it's a physical threat or physiological threat, and Cooper wants that gone," Adelstein says. "He sees an opportunity for that to be taken care of and he pushes for that."
The return of Lee comes just as...

Kadee Strickland
Following Charlotte's sexual assault and the gruesome aftermath, this week's episode will mark the beginning of her road to recovery on Private Practice. She may act like the same strong woman she's always been, but healing will not be easy.
On the Set: Private Practice prepares for the aftermath of Charlotte's attack
"Those bruises may go away, casts may come off, the hair may become curled again — all of those outer things may change and may appear normal, but within her there is a whole other life happening," KaDee Strickland tells TVGuide.com. The 34-year-old actress also discusses how Charlotte will move forward from the trauma, and what's ahead for her relationships...

Private Practice
"It's not anything that the audience can't handle," KaDee Strickland stresses as she sits in the living room of Sam's beachfront house on the Private Practice set during one of the few days she's not covered in prosthetic cuts, scrapes and bruises.
The "it" in this situation is her character Charlotte's sexual assault and brutal beating in this Thursday's episode of Private Practice (10/9c on ABC).
Private Practice tackles rape during sweeps
At the end of last week's episode, Charlotte walked out of her office at the hospital only to encounter a deranged man whose face the audience has yet to see (though we know he's played by Buffy alum Nicholas Brendon). After a harsh smack, he shoved her back into the dark office as the episode faded to black.
"The fact that she has this happen in her place of business is a very powerful statement because she has to go back to it," Strickland says. "It will never be the same thing to...

About four years ago, Buffy writer Jane Epstein dabbled with the idea of creating an animated series chronicling her The Slayer's high school days at Sunnydale High where several of the original cast members, including Alyson Hannigan, Nicholas Brendon and Anthony Head, lent their voices to reprise their roles. Though the show never quite came to be, four minutes of the aborted series is now sweeping the internet. And we apologize in advance for opening old wounds with this video. Your take: Do you think this series had potential or were they right to slay it so soon?

Nicholas Brendon by Monty Brinton/CBS
Cheers to Criminal Minds for investigating its characters' private lives. The CBS hit's relentless parade of serial killers can grow wearying, so it's nice to spend time with the BAU crew off the job, even if the subplots aren't always happy (witness Hotch's painful divorce and Garcia getting shot by a date). Buffy alum Nicholas Brendon's recurring role as Garcia's computer-geek boyfriend has provided some much-needed comic relief, and spoiler alert! there's going to be a huge development for J.J. soon (hint: A.J. Cook is pregnant in real life). These personal storylines offer the show's appealing ensemble a chance to do more than go through the procedural motions. Good thing, because the Minds cast would be a terrible thing to waste. For more Cheers & Jeers, check out the new vodcast. Kirsten Vangsness by Monty Brinton/CBS
Cheers to Criminal Minds for putting the spotlight on Kirsten Vangsness. The appealingly quirky actress, who's usually stuck behind a wall of computer screens, stepped out when techie Penelope Garcia met a hot guy in a coffee shopand he shot her on their first date. Turned out he was a bad cop who thought Garcia was onto him, but the story line gave Vangsness the chance to share emotional scenes with her costars (especially Shemar Moore). Plus, it brought her a charming new love connection: Buffy alum Nicholas "Xander" Brendon as a fellow hacker. Hope Minds ' producers are smart enough to bring Brendon back.
