Sam Trammel
My Big Fat Greek Wedding star, Nia Vardalos, who is also the real life wife of Ian Gomez, tells us her guest stint on Cougar Town was so much fun to shoot the cast could barely keep it together. "We had an excellent time. I thought we were going to get fired every day for laughing," she told TV Guide Magazine at the Independent Spirit Awards. Vardalos will play a woman who inappropriately comes onto Ian's very married character, and after trying to schedule the guest appearance for almost two seasons she says she would love to come back for more. "I'd love it," says Vardalos. "Tell them that!"

Cougar Town
Cougar Town may be about to disappear from TV schedules for two months, but no need to start binge drinking merlot just yet. Days after ABC renewed the comedy for a third season, the stars and executive producers welcomed reporters to its Los Angeles set to preview what's coming up next for the cul-de-sac crew. Nia Vardalos
A slimmed-down Nia Vardalos says there's a big, fat and sexist double-standard in the entertainment industry.
The actress, who lost 40 pounds to combat a blood sugar problem, writes on Anderson Cooper's 360 blog that she's tired of seeing older, heavier, or less attractive men paired with younger, slender, sexy women on-screen, but rarely seeing the opposite dynamic. Vardalos — who describes her looks as "er, below-average" — says she is often pressed about her celluloid romances with "hottie" John Corbett in My Big Fat Greek Wedding and Alexis Georgoulis in My Life in Ruins, which is currently in theaters.
"It's been years, and I have sat through many a movie like Sideways, where nobody blinks an eye when Paul Giamatti gets together with ...

I am so drunk. I am so drunk, I can hardly control my redheaded tongue. Meredith from The Office here. There's no telling what I'll say about Jim and Pam and the rest of the Office dirt. God help the bartender. He's like a priest. He hears things in the strictest of confidence in my drunken stupor. I can't tell you the bar or the bartender in case he has a weak moment. I am not waiting for the black coffee to kick in.OK, here goes. This is the real story. Jim and Pam are never going to get together... in this week's episode, "Safety Training." Don't repeat that. You seem nice enough. You won't tell anyone that I said that, will you? It's hot in here. I better open a window. I am drunk because I miss everyone. We just stopped working two weeks ago. Why am I drunk? That's why I am drunk. Is anybody listening to ol' Mer? Is anybody else feeling hot? I hope that's dried oatmeal on my sweater. I am drunk. But who am I trying to kid? I'd be drunk even if I was at work. Anyway....I am just ...

Question: TVGuide.com's Entertainment News reported that "Nia Vardalos is penning Talk of the Town, a big fat star vehicle for Tom Hanks." Is this a remake of the Cary Grant/Jean Arthur movie The Talk of the Town, or is it a different story with the same title?Answer: I'm thinking totally different story with the same title. All I've heard about the plot of the new Talk of the Town, which My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002) writer and star Nia Vardalos is writing from an idea by Tom Hanks, is that it involves a man (presumably Hanks) who's suddenly forced to make an unexpected career change. This doesn't sound at all to me like the vintage dark comedy
