[WARNING: The following contains spoilers from Tuesday'sSupernatural: Bloodlines. Read on at your own risk!]
For better or for worse, Supernatural: Bloodlines is finally here. Set in Chicago, the potential spin-off features fledgling hunter Ennis (Lucien Laviscount), who discovers Chicago is run by five Mafioso monster families, including shape-shifters David (Nathaniel Buzolic) and Margo Hayden (Danielle Savre) and werewolves Julian (Sean Faris) and Violet Durant (Melissa Roxburgh).
But how will Bloodlines compare to Supernatural? Read on for seven things to expect from the anticipated pilot:
Nathaniel Buzolic, Lucien Laviscount
The upcoming Supernatural spin-off Tribes has cast its first two series regulars, TVGuide.com has learned.
Kat Graham and Nathaniel Buzolic
The Vampire Diaries' Elena (Nina Dobrev) has decided the only way to un-compel Damon (Ian Somerhalder) from wanting to kill Jeremy (Steven McQueen) is to kill Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic). (Incidentally, he's also standing in their way of the cure.) But when the task falls on Bonnie (Kat Graham), she's left in a dangerous situation.
"This is the first scene that Bonnie and Kol have had together and it's honestly one of the most intense scenes I've had with one other person since I don't know when," Graham tells us in this week's Vampire Diaries Bite.
Claire Holt, Paul Wesley
Rebekah is back on The Vampire Diaries and her first target is Stefan and Elena.
On Thursday's episode (8/7c, the CW) Rebekah (Claire Holt) becomes undaggered and takes Stefan (Paul Wesley), Caroline (Candice Accola) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) hostage at the high school. Things only get more tense from there.
The Vampire Diaries' Klaus essentially put a target on his back by killing Mayor Lockwood. Nevertheless, Joseph Morgan says the baddie Original doesn't have a care in the world when the show returns from its holiday hiatus.
"In the episodes to come after break, there's a certain amount of him sitting with his feet up, looking at the carnage as it unfolds before him," Morgan tells TVGuide.com. "He's pulling the puppet strings and then letting them go to see what happens."
Now that The Vampire Diaries' Elena Gilbert has made her first kill as a vampire, will she be hungry for more? Or will she continue to loathe the new predator she has become?
"The consequences of that first kill are pretty profound," executive producer Julie Plec told reporters at a screening of the episode. "She... literally and metaphorically killed her hope without realizing it [and she'll] learn that killing a hunter comes with a price ... that takes her to some dark, dark places."
