The Originals is about to put the "fun" in family dysfunction.
The CW series, which returns for its second season Monday, is setting the stage for a crazy reunion when Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) realize that their mother and father — and brother — have been resurrected back into their lives. For the brothers, confronting the years of pain and destruction the Original parents left in their wake comes at a time when the two, as well as Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), have already hit despair, having lost the people — and their city — that mean most to them.
True Blood returns for its seventh and final season Sunday (9/8c, HBO) and picks up just moments after most of the townspeople of Bon Temps gathered in support of the "One Vampire-One Human" movement that paired people up in exchange for clean blood and protection. But a horde of Hep-V-infected vamps were about to close in and surely cause chaos in the little backwoods parish. Sadly, you shouldn't expect everyone to survive the inevitable clash. It is the final season, after all!
So, what's in store for Sookie & Co. before the HBO fantasy drama meets its true death? TVGuide.com offers up this quick refresher on where we left off and a juicy tease about what to expect in the final season:
Will they give peace a chance? The CW's The Originals returns Tuesday, April 15 (8/7c) with steamy new werewolf Jackson — played by former Bunheads and General Hospital star Nathan Parsons — hoping to get the vampires and wolves to move past their decades-old beef and make nice. Or at the very least be frenemies. Parsons, who will also join the cast of HBO's True Blood in its final season, gave TV Guide Magazine the lowdown on his new supernatural life.

Another Originals character bites the dust.
After a season of defying many of New Orleans' power players, Sophie Deveraux (Daniella Pineda) succumbed to the forces of the show's newest antagonist, Sophie's own niece, Monique (Yasmin Al Bustami). And Sophie wasn't her only target. By the end of the hour, Monique and her new band of crazy witches took Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) and left them trapped outside of the French Quarter.
Bunheads star Nathan Parsons will join True Blood for its seventh season this summer, taking over the role of James from Luke Grimes, TVGuide.com has confirmed.
