Belgium s dark colonial past comes to light in Greetings from the Colony, a story of exclusion and sadness that begins with a Rwandan woman who s betrothed to a Belgian territorial agent while he serves a term in the early 1920s in Rwanda. Together they have three children, but at the end of his term the agent meets a young Belgian woman, marries her and returns to Belgium. Abandoning his Rwandan wife and two sons he chooses to bring only his daughter Suzanne, believing he can give her a better life than what she faces in Rwanda. Decades later the agent s granddaughter, filmmaker Nathalie Borgers, breaks the long family silence in this revealing documentary that tells the real story of what Suzanne faced growing up in a family of denial and a country with a contentious colonial history.

Set in the 1970's, MIGHTY FINE is the story of Joe Fine (Chazz Palminteri) a charismatic, high-spirited man, who relocates his family--wife Stella (Andie MacDowell), a Holocaust survivor, daughters Nathalie (Jodelle Ferland) and Maddie (Rainey Qualley)--from Brooklyn to New Orleans, in search of a better life. Unfortunately, Joe's spending spree is wildly out of touch with reality, as his apparel business is teetering on the brink of collapse, a fact he refuses to accept. Written and directed by Debbie Goodstein, MIGHTY FINE is told from the perspective of an adult Nathalie remembering the events of her youth, and is inspired by Goodstein's memories of her own father. MIGHTY FINE ultimately shows how coming to terms with the past without judgment is the most fruitful way to move toward the future.

At first stunned by Nathalie's unexpected attention, Markus comes to gradually believe in her feelings and shifts into romantic high gear. As their relationship goes from awkward to genuinely loving, Nathalie and Markus will have to overcome a host of obstacles including everyone else's judgmental perceptions as well as their own self-doubts.
