NBC's Today host Natalie Morales is three-months pregnant. Standing with her cohosts outside the studio, she announced the news on Thursday's broadcast of the show. The pregnancy is the second for Morales, 35, and her husband, Joe Rhodes, who already have a 4-year-old boy together. "We're really excited!" she said. "It's truly a blessing." Morales added that the new addition would be great for their son. "He's excited to be a big brother. He says he'll share all his toys."With a due date set for Sept. 16, NBC News said that Morales will not be covering fall events, but the host already has ideas ready for when she returns from maternity leave. "I'm inspired to do all the getting-fit-after-the-baby segments," she said. Morales, it may be no surprise, was named one of 2007's "Most Beautiful People" by People en Espanol. Recently, Morales chatted with us about the show and Latinos on television.
TV Guide: How has life changed since Today added that fourth hour? Natalie Morales: At the time, I thought "Oh, it's only one hour — no big deal." But [it's] really like adding 10 hours to the week, because you spend more time preparing. When I go home, I'm like "What hit me? Oh yeah, that extra hour." But I enjoy every minute of it.
