The Parson visits Reverend Lovejoy and tells him that his recertification fee was declined by his credit card. Consequently, anything Lovejoy officiated during the past three months is invalid, including Marge and Homer's second marriage.

After his videotaped rant about airport security goes viral, Homer lands a radio talk show, and considerable political influence. Then he endorses rock star Ted Nugent (who provides his own voice) for president.
A distracted Homer allows Santa's Little Helper to get loose, and the family are furious with his unconcerned attitude, until Grandpa shines some light on things by telling them the story of Homer's childhood pup, Bongo.
