Dancing With The Stars, Mya
Mya is "excited" Dancing with the Stars judge Len Goodman has finally lavished praise on her ballroom skills, but she's still feeling black and blue. "I have bruises all over my legs [from the Argentine tango]," she tells TVGuide.com. "My legs, I couldn't even expose on Monday. I had to wear fishnets because they were so bad makeup couldn't cover them up!" But the pain probably paled in comparison to what partner Dmitry Chaplin felt when she hit ...

Mya
Mya is aching — but she likes it. "My torso's cramped," she tells TVGuide.com about rehearsing with her Dancing with the Stars partner Dmitry Chaplin. "But it's a good sore, like I should've been doing something in the gym before he battered me today!" The singer/actress is hard at work perfecting her moves with Chaplin, but don't think her dance background puts her at a large or even unfair advantage. It just puts more pressure on her, she says. See what else she has to say about her new gig and if she'll pay tribute to the "Cell Block Tango" she performed in the musical Chicago on the show.

Perhaps best known for her lustful hit "My Love Is Like... Wo," Mya is still valiantly plugging away at her acting career. The hip-hop songbird — who has appeared in Moulin Rouge!, Chicago and (ahem) Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights — has two big thespian projects right now.First off, there's Christina Ricci's just-released horror flick, Cursed. "I play Shannon Elizabeth's best friend in the movie," Mya tells TVGuide.com. "She has man problems and we try to solve the situation on our girls' night out at a carnival. We go take her issues to a freakin' fortune-teller, who ends up giving us no advice and [instead] says we're set up to be murdered. We're not buyin' it, but then weird things start happening."
Mya also gets lethally involved in tonight's episode of NCIS

Like many pop starlets, Mya — best known for "My Love Is Like... Wo" — wants to be a movie star. She sang "Lady Marmalade" in the musical spectacle Moulin Rouge! and had a brief cameo as a merry murderess in Chicago. Currently, the sultry singer croons in Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, in which she appears as a nightclub performer.
"This is actually the first time I'm appearing in the movie and on the soundtrack," Mya tells TV Guide Online. "[My song] is a significant moment in the movie."
Despite her brief — blink and you missed it! — screen appearance, she was still thrilled to do it. No doubt part of her joy was shooting in Havana's lush location. "I got to go to Puerto Rico and have fun," the 24-year-old says. "It was a little bit of work and vacation."
