Pilot News: Missi Pyle Checks in for ABC Comedy

Missi Pyle by Lester Cohen/ WireImage.com

Missi Pyle's the latest thesp to be tapped for ABC comedy pilot, This Might Hurt. In the proposed series, Pyle plays an ob-gyn with man-trust issues, says the Reporter. Her character works at a private medical practice, which is run by a middle-aged man and staffed, in part, by his nerdy son, with whom he's at odds. Tom Amandes will play the old-school pediatrician, with Josh Dean as his son and the newly added Alex Meneses will play the practice's office manager — who just happens to be a former telenovela star (a nice touch!). Pyle, who has appeared in shows from Heroes to Boston Legal, also appears in the new film, Harold & Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay.
