Mira Sorvino Fast Facts:

Fluent in French and Mandarin Chinese; spent eight months living in Beijing during college.
At Harvard in 1985, she was one of the founding members of a coed a cappella group called the Harvard-Radcliffe Veritones.
Made her acting debut with a 1990 guest spot on Law & Order, which at the time starred her father Paul Sorvino. Despite having her scenes cut, she was still able to secure her Screen Actors Guild card.
Turned down a three-year contract in 1993 to star in the daytime soap Guiding Light.
