On Thursday's episode of Lost, two surprising deaths let us know that the end is nigh. Jacob finds his replacement, a very familiar Ben chooses to betray the other castaways and Locke has a new plan for escaping the island. Meanwhile, in the sideways universe, Desmond has some success in gathering his former flightmates for his mission, Locke makes a life-changing decision and Ben discovers true love.
SIDEWAYS
JACK AND LOCKE
Jack spies a bleeding cut on his neck again, and I think you all know by now what I think that's all about. In the end, we'll see Island Jack get that cut on the island just before his island and sideways existences merge. Don't ask me how they merge, but watch for the cut.
Jack sits down to a family breakfast with David and Claire. David exposits that "Mom" will be at the concert that night — any guesses? My money is still on Juliet. Jack gets a call from Oceanic Air saying that they've found his dad's coffin, but it's actually Desmond on the other line. I guess Jack is next on his list, but as we'll see, Des has some other stuff to take care of first.

Not much. But it's more illuminating than this:
The promo also revives almost subliminal-message speed images of some of the phrases flashed in the Dharma Initiative's Room 23, the island's designated spot for brainwashing. The messages? "Everything changes" and "Plant a good seed and you will joyfully gather fruit."
